Doncare expands Counselling Services to support Couples
NewsUtilising a trauma-informed approach, Doncare’s Community Counselling services are suitable for a range of common mental health and wellbeing issues, including, but not limited to low mood, stress and anxiety, grief and loss, life transitions and isolation. In addition to general counselling for adults, children and youth, Doncare also provides specialist family violence counselling to women and children. In response to community demand, Doncare is excited to announce the launch of our new Couple’s Counselling and Prepare-Enrich couples and partners program.
The Prepare-Enrich Committed Couples and Partners Program is a relationship skill-building program suitable for couples who wish to explore, enhance and enrich an existing relationship or preparing for a long-term commitment.
Couples Counselling utilises concepts grounded in Imago Relationship Therapy, which aims to improve a couple’s connection and communication so that each partner feels fully heard and validated whilst still supporting each other to have their own beliefs and strong sense of identity.
Our fully qualified counsellor Kirrily (BA-Psych, Grad Dip Counselling) is passionate about helping couples to realise their full potential in terms of re-establishing a warm, connected and supportive relationship with their partners.
During Couples Counselling sessions, Kirrily guides couples to overcome communication and connection obstacles they may be experiencing, manage conflict, re-negotiate commitments and decision making and renew intimacy.
Doncare aims to provide an accessible and affordable service to the community and our fee schedule offers two rates dependent upon individual financial circumstances.
