The Department of Health and Human Services, as part of its response to the “Roadmap to Reform” Government initiative has developed an Intensive Family Services program. We are delighted to announce that Doncare has been selected to deliver this new and exciting program. We will be working with families whose children are the subject of either a Family Preservation Order or a Family Reunification Order where children in out of home care will soon be returning to their families.

The program will work intensively with families across the Inner East Melbourne area in partnership with Child Protection to promote child safety, development and permanency and to increase parenting capacity and improve family functioning.

This is an exciting extension of our existing Family Services program that more than doubles our capacity to support families to provide the best level of care for their children. Doncare looks forward to sharing our experiences with other providers to make a significant contribution to further enhance local service provision for families.
