Re:SPECT: a Space to Pause, Express, Connect & Thrive

A 6-week creative art therapy group for women recovering from family violence.

The Women’s Re:SPECT program utilises the visual arts, journaling and mindfulness for self-expression to explore themes relating to emotions, values and identity.

Move towards healing and recovery

  • Manage traumatic memories and triggers
  • Create distance to step back and review past experiences
  • Establish ways to stabilise and regulate emotions
  • Reduce anxiety and depressive symptoms
  • Alleviate feelings of disconnection
  • Develop skills for creative reflection, problem-solving and self-care
  • Alleviate isolation by bringing together women who’ve shared similar experiences
  • Inspire and create change
  • Reclaim self-worth and purpose
