News

On behalf of Doncare’s Board we are delighted to announce the appointment of Kylie Scoullar as our next CEO of Doncare, commencing 12 August 2024. With over 20 years of experience in mental health services and community not-for-profits, Kylie brings a wealth of expertise that assures us of strong and capable leadership.

Kylie is a registered psychologist and respected leader. Starting her career as a mental health clinician in Melbourne’s Western suburbs, Kylie has worked with children, young people and their families facing significant adversity and trauma. Her experience spans various systems including child protection and out of home care, family violence, youth justice and education. She has held senior roles at prestigious organisations including the Royal Children’s Hospital, the Victorian Foundation for Survivors of Torture, and MacKillop.

Kylie holds a Senior Executive MBA from the University of Melbourne, Masters in Psychology, and Certificate in Clinical Governance. Additionally, she is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and Associate Fellow with the Australasian College of Health Service Management. Kylie has extensive experience across organisational strategy, policy, and funding contracts with Government. She has worked with the Victorian Office of the Chief Psychiatrist and served on a national government outcomes and data committee. At Doncare, she will continue her role as Non-Executive Director with Tweddle Child and Family Health Service, where she chairs their Clinical Governance Committee.

We have greatly enjoyed meeting with and getting to know Kylie and found her to be a thoughtful, caring, and inspiring leader. We have great confidence in her ability to lead Doncare into it’s next chapter of growth, impact, and partnership in the community.

We would also like to add again our deepest appreciation and thanks to Ellen Matusko and the wonderful leadership she has given Doncare over the past two years as CEO. Ellen has been instrumental in strengthening Doncare’s foundations, growing our impact through critical programs such as Counselling, and deepening our relationships with key supporters and partners in the community. We are incredibly grateful for Ellen’s many contributions, and her generosity in making herself available to ensure a smooth transition for Kylie.
