This October, Doncare Op Shops are encouraging our community to take part in Buy Nothing New Month, a simple challenge that helps reduce waste, save money, and support vulnerable families in our community.
Before heading to the shopping centre or clicking "add to cart", we invite you to stop by one of our Op Shops in Tunstall Square, Templestowe Village or Macedon Square and see what treasures are waiting for a second life.
From fashion and homewares to books, toys and unique vintage finds, shopping second-hand is one of the easiest ways to make a positive impact on both the environment and our community.
Join the "Nothing New, Everything You" Challenge
This month, we're challenging our community to buy at least one item second-hand instead of new and share how they gave it a new life.
Getting involved is easy:
- Visit a Doncare Op Shop.
- Find something you love.
- Share a photo or video on social media showing how you use, style, repurpose or enjoy your purchase.
- Tag Doncare and use #NothingNewEverythingYou.
Whether it's a pre-loved jacket, a beautiful lamp, a favourite novel or a hidden vintage gem, every second-hand purchase tells a story.
