Champions for Seniors: Know Your Rights, Explore Your Options and Find Support

Are you concerned about the way someone is treating you, or worried about the way an older family member, friend or neighbour is being treated? This could include someone taking over decisions, applying pressure about money, speaking in a concerning way or making it harder for you or the older person to make choices.

It can be difficult to know whether what is happening is okay or how best to help. You do not need to be certain or have all the answers. Come along to Doncare’s free Champions for Seniors Community Forum to learn about positive ageing and older people’s rights. Discover how to recognise signs that something may not be right, explore safe ways to respond and connect with trusted information and support.

Older people, family members, friends and service providers are welcome to come along to listen, learn and ask questions.
