Joseph Hoo, Treasurer

Joseph Hoo is a senior executive who has held leadership roles in Australia and the UK with multinational companies as well as not-for-profit organisations, including General Motors and Macquarie Bank. His experience spans a range of sectors including legal, automotive, finance, and investment banking. He has also been involved with a number of community-based organisations at the local, state, and national levels. Joseph is committed to building strong, sustainable communities. His commitment is inspired by the community support he has received throughout his life, starting from early childhood as a non-English speaking migrant, through to adulthood as a father of a young family and son of aging parents. He shares Doncare’s vision and is keen to help it achieve its mission. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne.
