Doncare’s COVID-19 service delivery update

As developments continue to arise from the declared state of disaster, Doncare remains committed to responding to the directions of the Australian Government and the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services. Accordingly, as daily updates of the COVID-19 pandemic emerge, the Chief Executive Officer, board of directors and Doncare’s executive team continue to maintain situational awareness and adapt service provision through good planning, risk analysis and adopting mitigation strategies.   

Our Business Continuity plan is critical in enabling us to maintain continuity of care to existing clients to maximise health, safety and wellbeing outcomes. Doncare is particularly concerned about the vulnerable members in our community and those who are now being impacted by situations arising from COVID-19 who may have never been in a position of needing assistance before.

Doncare has adopted all physical distancing and other transmission reduction measures across the organisation and will be providing remote service delivery to clients in Family Services; Counselling; the Social Support for Seniors program and Community Visitors Scheme. DAWN mentors will continue to support women in recovery from family violence.
