Doncare’s op shops are places where kind-hearted people volunteer as sales assistants, processing, pricing, and merchandising donated items for sale. Our stores thrive on the energy of approximately seventy volunteers and everyone brings their unique value to our team.

Our stores serve as vibrant community hubs, fostering connectivity through volunteerism. Our ultimate goal, however, is to generate ample revenue to support Doncare’s core services.

• Engage with customers genuinely, reflecting the core values of Doncare.
• Sort and organise donations, whether it’s clothing, furniture, or homewares.
• Price each item fairly, following our pricing guidelines and stock rotation procedures.
• Express your creativity with visual merchandising.
• Handle sales smoothly, using both cash register and EFTPOS machine.
• Prioritise cash management and abide by Doncare’s banking policies.
• Foster a team spirit with the volunteer team, Retail Manager and Warehouse Operator.
• Be a proud ambassador of Doncare’s mission, positively influencing the community we support.
• Be ready to perform opening and closing duties as part of a team.
• Finally, maintain a clean, safe, and organised shop and storage area.
